Art month is always a favoured period for Print House in Hong Kong. The recognition of our city as one of the global, multicultural art hubs, as well as the exposure it brings for local artists on an international stage is something we have been working toward and supporting since day one.
HKwalls Art Festival
The HKwalls festival during the 2015 art month that was held in Stanley was hugely successful, and is an event Print House is proud to have been involved in. The project breathed new life into the market’s night scene and transformed the dull grey shutters of the market strip into a vibrant gallery of urban art showcasing local and international work.
Now after relocating, we are once again fortunate to be present for this year’s 9-day celebration of live mural paintings and print exhibitions throughout the Wong Chuk Hang area.
Following the footsteps of their 2016 festival in Sham Shui Po, the murals are set to cover a range of neighbourhood buildings and alley walls, essentially transforming the industrial area into a blank canvas for Hong Kong’s art month.
With a range of different galleries, boutiques, restaurants and other hidden gems already established throughout the neighborhood, the art month and HKwalls festival is sure to put Wong Chuk Hang on the map as an art-central district.
